How to fix “Couldn’t sign you in” for YouTube

Introduction

In this guide, we’ll give you the steps on how to solve the issue of your YouTube accounts that are unable to log in correctly. Below is a sample of the error message that will appear on the embedded browser.

Couldn’t sign you in

There are two ways to fix this login issue:

Step 1: Use mobile version

Go to Social Profiles > select the affected account > put a check on Show Advanced Profile Settings and see if you have the option ‘use mobile version’ enabled. If not, please put a check on it. Take the time to look as well if ‘use alternative embedded browser cookies storage’ is enabled. By default, this option should be checked but if it’s not, you may enable that now.

Step 2: Change embedded browser user agent

Still under the Advanced Profile Settings, your embedded browser user agent may not be supported. You may try using these user agents:

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 9; SM-G970U) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/93.0.4577.82 Mobile Safari/537.36

Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 9; SM-G950N) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/114.0.0.0 Mobile Safari/537.36

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:103.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/103.0

After you followed the previous steps, verify the account and see how it goes.

It still won’t login

In some cases, the login still won’t succeed after following the solutions we listed. This time, you need to open the embedded browser to check if there’s additional verification required before the account can completely login. Some samples of additional verification required by Google are as follows. You’ll need to handle these verifications manually in the embedded browser yourself.

If you’ve handled the extra steps and the account still shows an INITIALIZING status, but is already logged in correctly on the browser, you may click on the three dots > select Mark Social Profile as Valid and the account should turn VALID in Social Profiles after.
