Unavailable IG tools when Using Only EB

Introduction

For an Instagram account not to perform any API calls, we have the option under the account’s Advanced Profile Settings to USE ONLY THE EMBEDDED BROWSER (do not use the API). There’s a disclaimer, though, that several tools aren’t compatible with this setting. We’ll outline those tools in this guide.

💡 When using this option, it’s required to have other valid Instagram accounts running on the API; otherwise, you will get error code 550.

• Delete Posts

• Users and Hashtags – works for looking up related hashtags but not for suggested users

• Random Actions – you may have enabled API Full Emulation in the account’s Advanced Profile Settings but the option to USE ONLY THE EMBEDDED BROWSER restricts the account from performing any API call, thus the error alert

• Publishing videos, IG stories, and IG reels

Conclusion

Since Instagram is getting more restrictive over time when it comes to performing API calls, some users opt not to use the API at all, and the option to USE ONLY THE EMBEDDED BROWSER is a big help to them. It is noted, however, that some tools are incompatible with this configuration.
