The Campaigns Tokens Explained

In social media marketing, time is of the essence, and efficiency is the key. As a result, social media management tools, like SU Social, have been developed to help users save time and effort. SU Social provides numerous features and functionalities to simplify the process of social media management. One such feature is the use of tokens, which enable users to personalize their posts and automate specific tasks. This guide will walk you through the various tokens offered by SU Social and how they can assist you in creating and publishing high-quality social media posts.
SU Social Campaign Tokens
[CAMPAIGN_NAME]: When you utilize this token within the content of your post from the “What To Publish” tab, SU Social will substitute it with the name of the campaign that you are utilizing it for.
[CAMPAIGN_TAG]: By incorporating this token, SU Social will replace it with the campaign tag.
[DESTINATION_NAME_ORIGINAL]: By incorporating this token, SU Social will replace it with the actual name of the destination where the post will be posted. For example, if you’re posting to a group called “Health and Fitness,” it will replace the token with that name.
[DESTINATION_NAME]: Similar to the previous token, this one also replaces the token with the destination name. However, if you intend to use this token in a URL, SU Social substitutes spaces with plus signs instead to avoid URL breakage. This feature is useful for advanced users who want to track the source of their traffic.
[DESTINATION_TAG]: If you navigate to the group tab (social profiles – groups) or the pages tab (Social Profiles – pages) within your SU Social account, you can assign different tags to the groups and pages you have there. With this token, you can have SU Social replace the token with the corresponding tag assigned to that group or page.
When you use this token, the software will replace it with the tag you have there and it will change every space with the plus sign since it was made if you want to use the token inside a URL, we add the plus sign instead of spaces as spaces break the URL.
This is an advanced feature for users that wish to know where the traffic is coming from.
[DESTINATION_URL]: When you use this token, SU Social will replace it with the URL of the destination that you are posting to. For instance, if you’re posting to the group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Media24by7Writers/, the token will be substituted with that URL. To avoid breaking the URL, SU Social replaces “://” with “%3a%2f%2f” and every “/” with “%2f”.
[PLATFORM]: If you are posting on SU Social, this token will be replaced with the name of the social network that you are posting to. For example, if you are posting on Facebook, the token will be replaced with “Facebook,” and if you are posting on Instagram, the token will be replaced with “Instagram.” SU Social supports numerous social networks and will replace the token accordingly.
[ACCOUNT_NAME]: When you utilize this token, SU Social will replace it with the name of the account.
[ACCOUNT_TAG]: If you assigned a tag to the account, you can use this token to have SU Social replace it with that tag. When you use this token, SU Social will substitute it with the tag you assigned to the account.

[SOURCE_URL]: This token when used, it’s going to be replaced with the Source URL you added here:
💡The Source URL will only be visible when you add an image to the post.
[COMMENT]: Any text that you include after this token will be posted as the first comment on the Instagram or Facebook post. This token is not compatible with other social networks.
[DAY_OF_THE_WEEK]: When you use this token, SU Social will replace it with the day when the post was published. For example, if the post was published on Friday, the token will be replaced with “Friday,” and if it was posted on Monday, the token will be replaced with “Monday.”
[WEBSITEURL]: This token is only applicable to Instagram. When you use this token followed by a website URL, SU Social will edit the website URL on your Instagram profile to the new URL that you specified.
[USERNAME]: This token is also exclusive to Instagram. By using @[USERNAME], the token will mention the username of the account that you are posting on.
[DATE]: When you use this token, SU Social will replace it with the current date in the following format: “Friday, 18 October 2019.”
[DATE-LONG]: This token also replaces itself with the current date, but in a different format: “18-10-2019.”
[UNIX_TIMESTAMP]: This token is related to Unix timestamps, and you can find more information about them at https://pingler.com/blog/what-are-unix-timestamps-and-why-are-they-useful/.
SU Social recently introduced Sell Posts on Facebook groups. The following five tokens relate to this feature and only work with Facebook posts.
[SELL_POST_TITLE=sell post]: This token pertains to the title of the sell post, which typically indicates what is being sold. For example, if you are selling sunglasses, you would use this token: [SELL_POST_TITLE=Sunglasses]
[SELL_POST_PRICE=34]: This token refers to the price of the item being sold. If you are selling the sunglasses for 99, you would use this token: [SELL_POST_PRICE=99]
[SELL_POST_LOCATION=Los Angeles, California]: This token indicates the location of the item being sold. If the item is located in Buffalo, New York, you would use this token: [SELL_POST_LOCATION=Buffalo, New York]
[SELL_POST_ZIP=93313]: This token is only available for specific countries and refers to the zip code of the location where the item is located.
[SELL_POST_CATEGORY=toys]: This token refers to the category in which the item falls. You can check the various categories available on Facebook. As an example, you can use Jewelry & Accessories: [SELL_POST_CATEGORY=Jewelry & Accessories]
when all the tokens above are used, here’s the result we will get when posting the selling post to Facebook. The description and pictures will be taken from the post we configured inside SU Social itself.
[IG_TAGUSERS=username1,username2]: This token is only applicable to Instagram posts, and you can use it to tag specific users within your post. For example, if you want to tag Barack Obama and Elon Musk, you can use [IG_TAGUSERS=barackobama,elonmusk].
[SCHEDULE_POST= 12/05/2019 1:00 AM]: By using this token, you can schedule a post to be published at a specific time, using the format (DD/MM/YYYY) and the hour specified in the token example.
[MONDAY=start of the week]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “start of the week,” will replace the token when the post is published on Monday.
[TUESDAY=Happy Tuesday!]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Happy Tuesday!,” will replace the token when the post is published on Tuesday.
[WEDNESDAY=Happy Wednesday!]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Happy Wednesday!,” will replace the token when the post is published on Wednesday.
[THURSDAY=Happy Thursday!]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Happy Thursday!,” will replace the token when the post is published on Thursday.
[FRIDAY=Happy Friday!]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Happy Friday!,” will replace the token when the post is published on Friday.
[SATURDAY=Good Weekend]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Good Weekend,” will replace the token when the post is published on Saturday.
[SUNDAY=Good Weekend]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Good Weekend,” will replace the token when the post is published on Sunday.
[MORNING=Good morning]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Good morning,” will replace the token when the post is published between 12:00 AM and 11:59 AM.
[AFTERNOON=Good afternoon]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Good afternoon,” will replace the token when the post is published between 12:00 PM and 06:00 PM.
[EVENING=Good evening]: If you use this token, the text inside it, which is “Good evening,” will replace the token when the post is published between 06:00 PM and 11:59 PM.
[RANDOM_NUMBER]: By using this token, it will be replaced by a random number between 1 and 4 billion.
