Settings – Social Platforms – Instagram

Introduction

Under the Social Platforms page, each social network that Su Social supports has specific global settings. Only the Instagram sub-tab of the Settings > Social Platforms tab > Instagram tab is covered in this article.

General

  • Show the EB at the end of Captcha Disabled fix (to manually handle selfie verification) – this will open the embedded browser for the affected account to be able to easily handle the manual selfie verification.
  • Limit number of concurrent Instagram actions (improve performance)This enables you to choose the X maximum actions that can be performed simultaneously on Instagram accounts.
  • Update account name when changing Instagram usernameEach time the Instagram username is modified, this immediately updates the account name under Social Profiles.
  • Relogin when IG does not show the caption after postingSometimes the post caption won’t appear, but you can fix this by logging out and back in again. When the problem arises, this will automatically perform the relogin.
  • Keep phone number from profile after phone verificationFollowing phone verification, IG typically replaces your account’s phone number with the one you used for the verification. If you want to keep the phone number listed in your profile after phone verification, select this option.
  • Disable automatic API relogin when action blockedIf you don’t want to logout using the API when you are action blocked, select this option.
  • Automatically agree after post deletionCertain posts may be deemed by IG to be in violation of their Terms of Service, in which case they will be removed. Until you confirm the deletion, which you can do automatically with this option, your account will remain suspended.
  • Treat action blocks as temporary blocksIf you want to suspend the tool when receiving temporary blocks to use when receiving action blocks from IG, check this box.
    • Ignore action blocks (do this on your own risk)Use this option if you want the follow/like tools to simply ignore action blocks rather than move on to the next cycle when they occur.
  • Keep accounts valid when changing the proxyIf you want to keep the account in VALID status when the proxy is changed, select this option.
  • Suspend tool when getting temporary blocked between x and y minutesspecify the duration of the tool’s suspension after receiving a temporary block in minutes.
  • Suspend all tools when getting temporary blocked between x and y minutesSpecify the duration of the account’s DELAYED status after receiving a temporary block.
    • Enable suspend on second block between x and y minutesIf you want a different suspension time for the second block in a row, choose this option.
    • Logout/relogin only on second consecutive block not on the first blockIf you want the logout/relogin to take effect on the following block, choose this option.
  • When scraping data, do not use all accounts to scrape, use only accounts with specific tagnamesuseful when you need to scrape a lot of data (e.g., with scrape tools) and don’t want to risk particular accounts because making too many API calls can lead to phone verification.
  • When syncing use only accounts with the specific tagnamesSince some users reported their accounts being compromised, you can create slave/scraper accounts to perform the syncing for the master/main accounts.
    • Apply only on accounts with specific tagnamesIf you only want master accounts with specific tagnames to sync with the scraper accounts, check this option and add the tagnames of your master accounts. Otherwise, all accounts will sync using scrapers if this option is left unchecked.
  • When executing any tool, for scraping, use only accounts with specific tagnamesUtilize this feature to use a different account to scrape the data required to complete the action. If there are no available scraper accounts to be used, this will trigger error 550.
    • Apply only on accounts with specific tagnamesIf you want master accounts with particular tagnames only to use the scraper accounts, select this option and add the tagnames of your master accounts. All accounts will use scrapers when using the tools if the box is left unchecked.
    • Skip wait time between operations if scraper gets verification – use this option to automatically run the tool’s operation again if the scraper used gets verification.
    • Use main account to scrape when there are no scrapers available – If this option is enabled when no scrapers are available, the main account will be used for scraping instead of getting error 550.
    • Use scrapers only for specific tools – When enabled, the scrapers will only be used for the tools you selected here. The tools unchecked will use the main account to scrape data.
  • Always use main account when scraping – Useful when you do not want other accounts to be used in the background for scraping and when you want the account that is executing the current action to be used for scraping too.
  • Video upload wait timeYou should extend this timer if you encounter a transcode time-out error when posting to Instagram.
  • Enable Partial API Emulation – All Instagram accounts will only have a partial level of emulation performed on them. Keep in mind that before applying the partial emulation, the accounts must first enable API Full Emulation under the Advanced Profile Settings.
  • Skip API emulation when muting usersIf you do not want to send the logging events when muting users, use this option. Checking this option, according to some users, may help you get fewer account temporary locks.
  • Number of retries when scraping all usersThe maximum number of retries that will be made when using the Follow and Unfollow tools’ “scrape all users” option can be set here. Use it if you notice that, despite five retirements, the scrapers are unable to gather all users’ data for the follow/unfollow tool prior to execution.
  • Enable logging to show what scraped users failed to pass the settingsThis will show in the logs which follow setting filter did a particular user fail. Keep in mind that this will generate a sizable log file and should only be activated when absolutely necessary.

Embedded Browser

  • Do not use embedded browser to login on InstagramWhen verifying an account, this will not automatically login to the account using the embedded browser (you can still login manually though on the EB).
    • Always keep the accounts logged in the embedded browser – alternatively, with this option, all Instagram accounts will keep their current browser sessions active.
  • Do not use embedded browser to follow on InstagramWhen the follow action fails via API, this will prevent the follow action from being executed via the embedded browser. If you choose to use only embedded browser to follow, then this will be unchecked.
  • Use only embedded browser to followThis will only use the embedded browser to carry out the subsequent actions. If you check the box next to do not use embedded browser to follow, this option will be unchecked.
    • Logout from embedded browser when follow using Embedded Browser is blockedIf you want to log out from the embedded browser after the follow action fails, select this option. This is helpful if the follow in EB is blocked; after a logout and login, the follow will resume working.
  • Use only embedded browser to unfollowThe unfollow actions will be carried out by this only on the embedded browser.
    • Logout from embedded browser when unfollow using Embedded Browser is blockedIf you want to log out from the embedded browser after the unfollow action fails, select this option. This is helpful when EB blocks the unfollow; after a logout and login, the unfollow function resumes.
  • Use only embedded browser to likeYou can choose this option if you only want to use the embedded browser to like posts.
    • Logout from embedded browser when like using Embedded Browser is blockedIf you want to log out of the embedded browser if the like action fails, check this box. This is helpful when an EB feature is blocked; after a logout and login, the feature will resume working.
  • Use only embedded browser to like comments – this will only use the embedded browser to carry out liking comments.
  • Use only embedded browser to commentYou are able to leave comments using only the embedded browser with this option.
    • Logout from embedded browser when comment using Embedded Browser is blockedIf you want to be logged out from the embedded browser after the comment action fails, select this option. This is helpful when an EB comment is blocked; after a logout and login, the comment will succeed again.
  • Use only embedded browser to send direct messagesOnly the embedded browser will be used when sending direct messages when using this option. Due to the fact that sending videos via EB is not supported, this will not function in that case. Instead, videos will be sent via API.
    • Logout from embedded browser when direct message using embedded browser is blocked (error code 46 or 508)When sending direct messages via EB fails, this will cause the account to log out of the embedded browser.
  • Use only embedded browser to save postsWith this option, you can only save posts using the embedded browser.
  • Use only embedded browser to postThis is only for posting single images and will only operate on the embedded browser. The API will be used for posting when uploading videos or albums. Additionally, this only applies when using the campaign to post on the wall. It doesn’t apply when using Repost or when posting to Stories or on Reels.
  • Limit the maximum number of embedded browser logouts to x and y per dayThis will enable you to specify the maximum number of times a logout operation via the embedded browser may be performed.
    • Do not clear cookies when logging outIf you don’t want the logout to clear your browser’s cookies, choose this option.
  • When logging out from the embedded browser due to a block, automatically log back in right away instead of when tools start executingSome users have reported fewer blocks when using this option to perform the login operation immediately following the logout rather than when the tools are already running.
  • Use the Embedded Browser instead of the API to phone verify your accountThis will make use of the Social Profiles > Actions on Selected Profiles option to use the embedded browser for automatic phone verification.

Automatic Actions

NOTE: The automatic fixes here will only work if you have enabled them before the account received the phone verification, email confirmation, captcha, captcha disabled, temporary locked, action required, password reset, enter new email, compromised, and get help signing in statuses. If you already received those statuses before setting up the options on this tab, you must solve for these statuses manually first using their respective actions under Social Profiles > Actions on Selected Profiles.

  • Automatically phone verify account when neededWhen the account receives a PHONE VALIDATION status, use this to automatically phone verify the account. Keep in mind that for this to function, the Settings > Connectivity > Instagram Phone Verification option needs to be set up with a credit-based SMS provider.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before verifying the accountThis indicates the amount of time before Su Social tries to call the account to verify it.
    • Wait between x and y minutes after verifying the accountIf you want the account to change to valid after x–y minutes following phone verification, select this option.
    • Automatically login after phone verificationuse this to change the pending status to valid status immediately following verification.
    • X max verifications per dayIf more than once a day verification of your accounts is desired, use this to indicate so.
    • Auto phone verify only accounts that have specific tag names – Only accounts with the specified tag names will automatically undergo phone verification when this option is selected.
  • Automatically email verify account when neededWhen the account receives an EMAIL CONFIRMATION status, use this to automatically send an email to verify it. Keep in mind that for this to function, the Social Profiles > Details > Email Validation tab needs to be set up.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before verifying the accountThis indicates the amount of time before Su Social tries to email the account for verification.
    • Wait between x and y minutes after verifying the account – If you want the account to change to valid after x–y minutes following email verification, use this option.
    • Reset device IDs if neededAfter the email verification process, this will also reset the device ID for the account if necessary.
    • X max verifications per day – Use this to indicate how many times will Su Social perform email confirmation fixes in a day.
    • Use the Embedded Browser to email verifyIf you prefer the embedded browser to the API for email verification, choose this option.
    • Auto phone verify only accounts that have specific tag namesOnly accounts with the specified tag names will automatically undergo phone verification when this option is selected.
  • Automatically restore compromised accounts when needed – Use this option to have Su Social automatically restore any compromised accounts for you. This will also alter the account’s password.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before restoring the account – this lets you specify how long should it wait after getting the compromised status before Su Social tries to restore the account.
    •  Wait between x and y minutes after restoring the accountIf you want the account to become valid x–y minutes after being restored, select this option.
    • Auto-restore only accounts that have specific tag namesThis option will only automatically restore accounts that have the same specified tag name.
    • Send email with new password to clientAfter restoring the compromised account, use this option to let your client know the new password has been set. Specify the email recipient and the format of the email that they will receive.  
  • Automatically solve captcha account when neededTo automatically resolve captchas, select this option. You must have a 2Captcha account with credits set up under Settings > Connectivity for this to function.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before initiating solve captchaThis indicates how long will Su Social wait before it attempts to solve the captcha.
    • X max verifications per dayIf more than once a day verification of your accounts is desired, use this to indicate so.
    • Auto solve captcha only accounts that have specific tagnamesThe captcha will only be solved for accounts with the given tagname.
  • Automatically fix temporarily locked account when neededUtilize this to fix the TEMPORARY LOCKED status. To make this function, make sure that the Social Profiles > Details > Email Validation tab is set up, and keep in mind that the account password will be modified.
  • Auto fix only on accounts that have specific tagnamesThe temporary lock fix will only be applied to accounts that have the specified tagname.

  • Automatically fix get help signing in when needed – Utilize this to instantly resolve the GET HELP SIGNING IN status. To make this function, ensure that the Social Profiles > Details > Email Validation tab is set up, and remember that the account password will be modified.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before initiating fix get help signing inThis indicates how long it takes before Su Social tries to implement the fix for the get help signing in issue.
    • Exclude proxies with the following tagnamesThe proxy that is currently associated with the account will not be used when fixing the get help signing in issue. You can specify which proxy tagnames to ignore (not use) when resolving get help signing in by using this option.
  • Automatically fix action required when needed – Use if it you want to automatically log back into your account when you get an ACTION REQUIRED status. 
    • Wait between x and y minutes before initiating fix action required – this denotes the amount of time spent before Su Social tries to apply the action required fix.
  • Automatically fix enter new emailUsing this, you can manually start the process of fixing accounts that have the ENTER NEW EMAIL status. At least one email that is not associated with an Instagram account must be added.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before fixing new emailThis indicates how long it takes before  Su Social tries to resolve the enter new email problem.
    • Auto fix enter new email only on accounts that have a specific tagnameIf an account receives the enter new email status, only accounts with the specified tagname will be updated with the fix.
  • Automatically reset password when neededWhen Instagram requests a password without receiving an email confirmation, use this option to reset the password for the account (the account receives the RESET PASSWORD status). For the fix to function, the account’s Email Validation tab must be set up properly.
    • Wait between x and y minutes before initiating the fix – this specifies the delay in minutes before Su Social tries to fix the reset password status.
    • Auto reset password only on accounts that have a specific tagnameOnly accounts with the specified tagname will have the fix applied to them if their status changes to reset password.
  • Automatically logout old sessionsWith this option, the accounts will automatically log out of previous sessions every x and y hours.
    • Wait between x and y hoursspecify the amount of time to wait here before the logout starts.
    • Do not logout most recent x sessionsThe maximum number of recent sessions before logging out can be set.
    • Logout only my sessionsThis gives you the option of logging out of those sessions that share the same location or device as the one you’re currently logged into. This can be used if you do not want to log out outside logins.
    • Accept it was me on logged sessionIf Instagram views the current login as suspicious, it will click ‘It was me.’
    • Accept it was me on all suspicious loginsAll logins flagged by Instagram as suspicious will have the option ‘It was me’ clicked.
    • Use the embedded browser instead of the APIuseful if you want to accept suspicious logins and logout old sessions via the embedded browser.
    • Auto logout only on accounts that have a specific tagnameThe automatic logout option will only be applied to accounts with the given tagname.
  • When restoring compromised accounts change password with xxxxxxIf you want to create your own passwords that will be used to restore compromised accounts when a change password is required, select this option. There must be at least five characters in the password.
  • Automatically update was unfollowed for all accounts (except scraper accounts) every x and y daysDepending on the intervals you specified, this will automatically update the was unfollowed flag for all accounts.
  • Automatically update followers for all accounts (except scraper accounts) every x and y daysDepending on the intervals you specified, this will automatically update the total number of followers for all accounts. Use it to manage how frequently your accounts’ followers are synced so that you can get followers who have unfollowed.
    • Exclude account with the following tagnamesEnter the tagnames of the accounts you want to keep out of the automatic followers update here.
  • Automatically verify accounts every x – y minutesIf you want to have your accounts automatically verified every x–y minutes, choose this option. Useful if you want the account’s status to always be up to date. If you use this option to resolve phone verification, for instance, outside of the app, your account will become valid.
    • Auto verify only on accounts that have a specific tagnameOnly accounts with the given tagname will have their accounts verified automatically.

Different Users

  • Enable Follow different users across all accounts –  Regardless of the source, you can use this option to make sure that all your Instagram accounts follow different users on Su Social.
    • Apply extended resultsThis will keep track of all followed users, including the unfollowed ones, rather than just going through the followed users (once a user is unfollowed, it can be followed by another account), ensuring that they are not followed by another account you have in Su Social.
  • Enable Scrape different users across all accountsRegardless of the source, this option is used to enable all of your Instagram accounts on Su Social to scrape various users.
  • Enable Like different users across all accountsRegardless of the source, you can use this option to like posts from various users for all of your Instagram accounts on Su Social
  • Enable Like Comments of different users across all accounts –  this option is used so that all your Instagram accounts on Su Social will like different users’ comments regardless of the source used.
  • Enable Comment different users across all accountsBy selecting this option, you can enable comments across all of your Instagram accounts on Su Social, regardless of the source.
  • Enable Repost different posts across all accountsUsing this option, all of your Instagram accounts on Su Social can repost various posts from different sources.
  • Enable watch different stories across all accountsBy selecting this option, you can let all of your Instagram accounts on Su Social view various stories from different sources.
  • Enable different users/posts/stories only across accounts with same tagnameThis setting enables Instagram accounts with the same tag to follow, like, comment, repost, contact, and view various users. Only when the above options to enable different users/posts/stories are enabled will this function.
    • Enable only for the following tagnames – use this option if you want to follow/like/comment/etc different users/posts only across specific tagnames. This works if an accounts have multiple tagnames as well. For accounts that do not have a tagname specified under Social Profiles, the tools will be able to follow/like/comment/etc the same users/posts.
  • Do not follow users that have been contacted through the contact tool – Use if you do not want to follow users contacted using the Contact tool (e.g if you have 100 IG accounts with this option checked when one IG account follows it will skip all users that are in Contact Tool > Send Message Pending Message list and Result message list).

Stop Accounts

  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get disabled in a dayUse this option as a precaution to stop all active accounts if more than x accounts are disabled in a day.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of disabled accounts. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts. 
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get phone verification in a dayIf more than x accounts receive phone verification status in a day, use this option to stop all valid accounts as a precaution.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames –indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of accounts with phone verification status. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts. 
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get email verification in a dayIf more than x accounts receive email verification status in a day, use this option to stop all valid accounts as a precaution.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of accounts with email verification status. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts. 
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get action required in a dayIf more than x accounts receive the status of action required in one day, use this option to stop all valid accounts as a precaution.
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get compromised in a dayUse this option as a precaution to disable all active accounts in the event that more than x accounts get the compromised status in a single day.
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get captcha in a dayUse this option to prevent any valid accounts from being used and change them to a stopped status if more than x accounts receive a captcha status in a single day.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of accounts with captcha status. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts.
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get temporarily locked in a dayIf more than x accounts have a temporary locked state in a day, utilize this option as a safety precaution to halt all valid accounts.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of temporary locked accounts. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts. 
  • Stop all accounts if more than x accounts get application confirmation in a dayIf more than x accounts receive the app confirmation status in one day, use this option as a precaution to stop all valid accounts. The application confirmation status is the one where Instagram asks you to confirm your account by logging in on your phone and then sending a video selfie.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the accounts to be excluded when counting the number of accounts with app confirmation status. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all accounts. 
  • Stop accounts that are on the same proxy when x accounts get verification in a dayIf you wish to halt all accounts on the same proxy when more than x accounts receive phone verification, temporary lock, captcha, app confirmation, or disabled status in a day, use this option as a precaution.
    • Exclude accounts with the following tagnames – indicate here the tagnames of the proxies to be excluded when counting the number of accounts with verification requests. Leave this option empty if you want to take into consideration all proxies. 
  • Delay instead of stop X and Y minutes – Use this option if you want the accounts to be delayed between x – y minutes instead of stopping them.

Delays

  • Enable minimum delay between operations – this lets you decide long the delay is (from x – y seconds) before executing another action for a different tool on the account.
  • Enable delay when verifying multiple accounts at onceWhen using the Verify Selected Profiles option from Social Profiles > Execute Actions on Selected Profiles, this will delay the execution between verifying accounts.
  • Enable delay when email verifying multiple accounts at once – Use it if you want to have a delay in seconds when email verifying multiple accounts in bulk from Social Profiles > Actions on Selected Profiles.
  • Enable delay when phone verifying multiple accounts at onceWhen performing phone verification on multiple accounts at once (both manually and automatically), this will cause the operations to be delayed.
  • Enable delay for bulk profile edit and bulk change passwordWhen using Edit Selected IG Profiles with Spin or Change Password from Social Profiles > Actions on Selected Profiles, this will delay the execution between profile updates and password changes.
  • Enable API limitsHere, you can specify how many API calls will be made across all accounts. If more than x API calls have been made in the previous y seconds, the account will wait. Useful for avoiding Instagram blocks.

Export

If you want the Results to be automatically exported to a CSV file, use this sub-tab. You can specify the path where the results will be saved and the time it will take to export the results. The following is covered:

    • Follow Results
    • Unfollow Results
    • Like Results
    • Comment Results
    • Saved Posts Results
    • Contact Results
    • Story Viewer Results
    • Follow Extracted Users
    • Like Extracted Posts
    • Accounts that did not reach the daily limit

Conclusion

Su Social offers distinct global settings for each social media platform it supports and this includes Instagram. These settings give users additional flexibility over account syncing, language selection, following, liking, and commenting, among other things.
