How To Create A Spin Syntax Text

Introduction:

Gone are the days when you could post the same message everywhere without consequences. Today, major social platforms detect duplicate content and treat it as spam, limiting your reach. To overcome this, a technique called “spinning” was devised, but many people aren’t fully aware of how to utilize it effectively. In this article, we’ll explore some simple tricks to ensure your content remains unique and footprint-free.

Spinning the text

Let’s say you have a short sentence, something like

  • “Hi, I just wanted to get in touch and..”

Most people will simply spin this short text, come up with a few variations and leave it like that. So it might look like :

  • {Hi|Hello|Hi there|Hey|Howdy|Good day}, I {just|simply|merely|only|basically|actually} {wanted to|wished to|hoped to|was going to|planned to|needed to|want to} {get in touch|contact|make contact|get in contact} {and|and also|as well as}

This is a decent spin, that should also result in some good text variations, however, if you’re going to send/post this to a couple hundred or thousand people/places there are bound to be a lot of duplicates that will get you in trouble.

What you can do in this case is use a nested spin. That is a spin inside a spin. First of all, you need to manually re-write the original text into 3-4 or more variations, like :

  • “Hi, I just wanted to get in touch and..” (original text)
  • “Excuse me, can we talk about” (first rewrite )
  • “Hi, saw you on the forum and thought..” ( second rewrite)
  • “Hey, would you be interested in “ (third rewrite)

And so on, depending on how many groups/communities or other places you want to post. Now you get all these and spin each of them:

  • {Hi|Hello|Hi there|Hey|Howdy|Good day}, I {just|simply|merely|only|basically|actually} {wanted to|wished to|hoped to|was going to|planned to|needed to|want to} {get in touch|contact|make contact|get in contact} {and|and also|as well as}
  • {Excuse|Pardon} me, {can|may|might|could|should} we {talk about|speak about|discuss|mention|take a look at|have a discussion about|look at|converse about|discuss about|go over|explore|speak of|examine}
  • {Hi|Hello|Hi there|Hey|Howdy|Good day}, {saw|observed|noticed|spotted|found|seen|came across} you on the {forum|discussion board|community forum|blog|message board} {and|and then|and thus|and so} {thought|considered|imagined|presumed|decided|supposed}
  • {Hey|Hello|Good day|Hi|Whats up}, {would you|could you|will you|do you think you would|might you} {be interested in|want to consider|consider|be thinking about|be curious about}

Now that we have our 4 spun bits of text we should combine them, in order not to make a mistake that will break your whole spin, you should create the empty spin first, then copy-paste the bits of spun text inside, like this :

  • {|||}

For 4 spins you need 3 “|”, you always need one less “|” than the number of spun texts you have, now go ahead and copy-paste everything inside, it should be something like :

  • {{Hi|Hello|Hi there|Hey|Howdy|Good day}, I {just|simply|merely|only|basically|actually} {wanted to|wished to|hoped to|was going to|planned to|needed to|want to} {get in touch|contact|make contact|get in contact} {and|and also|as well as}|{Excuse|Pardon} me, {can|may|might|could|should} we {talk about|speak about|discuss|mention|take a look at|have a discussion about|look at|converse about|discuss about|go over|explore|speak of|examine}|{Hi|Hello|Hi there|Hey|Howdy|Good day}, {saw|observed|noticed|spotted|found|seen|came across} you on the {forum|discussion board|community forum|blog|message board} {and|and then|and thus|and so} {thought|considered|imagined|presumed|decided|supposed}|{Hey|Hello|Good day|Hi|Whats up}, {would you|could you|will you|do you think you would|might you} {be interested in|want to consider|consider|be thinking about|be curious about}}

Now this is a lot better than what you wanted to use first, it will yield a lot more unique results than the first one and it’s called a nested spin or a two-level spin.
